New Backyard Friends

We put a bird feeder in our backyard. There are so many

beautiful birds in this area. But after several days

we noticed that the birdseed was being eaten but we

never saw any birds.

Well, guess who has been eating the seeds???

Yes, we have a group of squirrels that have been

attacking the feeder. Tom even put the feeder

on longer cords so we could move it higher up

the branch because the squirrels were literally

jumping from the trunk of the tree to the feeder.

Well moving the rope higher up the branch didn't work.

They still found a way to get on the feeder.

Sure hope you can see our friend.

We finally decided to get a metal pole for the feeder

because we were told the squirrels cannot climb

those poles. Well the CAN!

We now have to put oil and vasoline on the

pole to keep those critters off. 

I will try and get a picture of the squirrels on the pole

if I catch them climbing up.
