This day was a killer. We decided to drive north to the Cabrits National Park and visit Fort Shirley. Cabrits is a mixture of spanish, portuguese and french meaning goat. They brought goats to the island to be a good meat source and they are now everywhere. Kind of like the rabbits in Australia.
At Fort Shirley, we are standing on one of the areas looking towards Portsmouth.
This was a look out as you can see all of the cannons.
The buildings right behind my head are the buildings on Ross University campus.
These two pictures are just some of the buildings in the fort. The government is actually restoring many of them.
The trees and other vegetation was incredible. The first three branches of this tree were pointing to the three different trails you could take to hike.
Look at the base of the tree: Where are Krista and Josh?
We then went north to another beach to snorkel. The beach was great, but the snorkeling was not nearly as nice as Champagne beach.
Thought you would like to see our 'rental' car.
I really wanted you to see the forest.
TThe the drive back to Portsmouth Tom had to take this picture. You should recognize it from the movie Pirates of the Caribbean where the pirates were hung between the rocks.
Well that's the end of another great day. Tomorrow is our last day here and we have a full day planned, that's if this old body can get out of bed.
Thanks for reading!

Are you still going without air conditioning?
Yes, we are really toughing it out without A/C. Never thought I could do it. Thank heavens for cold showers.
