Goodbye Puerto Rico

Before leaving Puerto Rico, we took a quick trip over to 'Old' San Juan which is just west of San Juan.  It is very historical, but also very touristy.  One famous attraction is the Old Fort.  It is huge and has its own lighthouse.  The Fort sits out on a point quite a ways from the city.

Looking towards the city of 'Old' San Juan there are some large buildings.  They have an Art Institute and even a School of Medicine.

The real attractions though were right in town.  Very narrow cobble streets with lots of stores, places to eat and beggars.  We did find a wonderful Puerto Rican (Mexican) restaurant.  The burritos were huge and delicious.  But we didn't do any shopping because the prices were outrageous.  So we just enjoyed looking and then took a taxi back to the hotel.

We are getting excited because tomorrow we live for Dominica to visit Krista and Josh.

Tomorrow also celebrates Dorthella's 80th birthday and because we will be traveling I won't be able to put a message out to her so:
HAPPY 80th BIRTHDAY DORTHELLA!
Hope your day is a very happy and memorable one.
